Update on Wilson in Honduras.....
Its been a long time since I told you anything about Wilson...he is the student I have been helping educate since 2001.
He is now in his last year of high school and will graduate in November of this year. He turned 20 on Dec. 23rd. He has just returned from their "summer" vacation where he worked in a factory in San Pedro Sula, his hometown. I don't know what type of work it was, but he did tell me there were some cute girls working with him! He's a normal 20 year old, isn't he??!!
I will visit him this summer for two weeks in June and then again for his graduation in November. I still would like to have him visit the US sometime, but don't know IF that will ever happen. I keep praying that someday we can work out the details required by the government.
Wilson has matured nicely, and is more handsome than ever! He is a sensitive, kind, appreciative young man. His 14 year old brother is now at El Sembrador and it has been great getting to know him. Wilson was instrumental in getting Osmel there due to the unsafe conditions he was living in.
Providing a scholarship for Wilson has been one of the most rewarding experiences in my life. It ranks near the top of marriage, and having my own children. I originally thought it would be nice to help someone less fortunate and the whole experience has changed my life.
I will keep you posted on news about Wilson and my future travels. Thanks for asking about him and being concerned. I wish each one of you could meet him someday!
Fondly, Julie
