November 25, 2007 Happy Belated Thanksgiving
Hello to you!
My Holiday Open House was a tremendous success, being held the weekend before Thanksgiving. What I didn't realize was how quickly Thanksgiving Day would arrive. Suddenly I knew if I didn't get a turkey on Monday, it would still be frozen on Thursday!! Amazing how it all falls into place. Our boys were both home and they helped their dad rake a million leaves from our backyard. Then we had a little blowing snow! We count our blessings and are thankful for another year of good health, family and friends. I sincerely hope your Thanksgiving was a blessing too.
I hope you have had a chance to visit the new web site....it is full of everything available. I find it to be very user friendly and the orders are easy to read. Prayer Box Bracelets are still very popular and now you can read each prayer to see if it says what you want it to say. I have just introduced a "Beaded Necessities" product line which was quite popular last weekend. It includes beaded appetizer forks, bottle openers, canape knives and wine stoppers. Each one can be the perfect stocking stuffer or small gift item, reasonably priced.
Check out the site for these new things!
I would value any suggestions, opinions or proof-reading corrections that you may find. You may email me thru the web site or my personal email at firstname.lastname@example.org. Remember if you are ordering for Christmas....don't delay....order today!! I want to make sure I have time to get it to your location. If you have any questions at all, please don't hesitate to call me. My numbers are listed on the site.
Don't forget the always popular Prayer Box Bracelet with one of 50 prayers to choose from. It has become the mission related gift of all times....for anyone to give! Also remember we GIFT WRAP anything you order!!!
Enjoy the holiday season. I have a special recipe to share with you. I made this for my open house and had MANY requests for the recipe. It is sure to be a favorite during your holidays!!
10 or 12 0z puff popcorn (yellow not cheese) (she used 10 oz) I could only find a 7 oz bag, so I bought 3 bags and made 2 separate batches.....big mistake unless you give it away and don't eat it all yourself!!
2 cups of brown sugar
2 sticks of butter
1 tsp. salt
1/2 cup white Karo syrup (can use brown)
Put all but the ingredients but the popcorn in a large pan and bring to a boil. After it boils, keep stirring for 5 minutes. Remove from fire and add 1 tsp. of soda---keep stirring---it will foam but keep stirring until the soda is completely dissolved. Put the puff popcorn in a large bowl making sure you spray it with cooking spray first. Pour the liquid in and stir it well. Put it out on 2 sheet cake pans with an edge.
Bake 1 hour at 250 degrees. Take pans out and stir every 15 minutes. Take out of oven and cool but break it up before it is completely cool.
Happy December shopping to all of you.....
