June 29, 2009 Fun summer ahead!
Just returned from a weekend in La Crosse, WI for a wedding. Seeing friends from high school is always special, especially since Rich and I have been gone from Wisconsin almost 36 years! We've lived in Indiana longer than we did Wisconsin. Can this really be true!!
Unfortunately I had to miss a favorite art fair....the Charley Creek Arts Fest in Wabash, Indiana. It's very hard to make a decision when two things fall on the same weekend.
I am now preparing for my next art fair which is back in LaCrosse the end of July. It will be my 5th year being at the Art Fair on the Green. I really don't know why time has to pass by so quickly but it certainly does.
Several new items and designs will be introduced at the AFOTG. Postcards to remind my loyal Wisconsin and Minnesota customers will be going out in a couple weeks. Weather is always a factor during an outdoor fair, so cross your fingers we will have nice weather the weekend of July 25th and 26th. I am looking forward to seeing many friends from the area, in addition to having my sister, nieces, mother and friends be there to help. We always have many laughs. I have even had one of my tents repaired, so we are good to go!! Last but never least...I have to mention my husband who tirelessly helps with the heavy stuff and makes sure the tents are staked securely in the ground. Thanks in advance to all of you for helping me again this year!
Since I last wrote about the Sarah Palin pictures with my bracelet on her right wrist, I have found 25 more on the web. It is hard to even grasp the idea that she is wearing my bracelet often. I will have a replica of the exact bracelet I made her at the La Crosse Art Fair and will take orders. I continue to be so honored that she is wearing it. I know from my own personal experience, the bracelet with its prayer can bring immeasurable strength during a difficult time in one's life. When our oldest son traveled to India....alone...I had a prayer in my bracelet for his safe return. I held that prayer box several times every day he was gone to keep him safe. He was gone 2 1/2 months, which is nothing like Sarah Palin's son in the Army.
I will be leaving on July 10th for a familly reunion in Northern Wisconsin and will return on July 19th. If there is anything you need, please get in touch with me as soon as possible. Once I return on the 19th, I will have 2 days to pack up before leaving for the Art Fair. I won't be able to fill any orders until the first of August.
Enjoy your summer....I have a feeling it will fly by quickly. As always, I appreciate hearing from you any time!
